The Queen's Coronation Exhibition

On June 2 1953, Elizabeth II became Queen of England. 60 years later Buckingham Palace pays her a tribute with an exhibition entirely dedicated to her Coronation.

The Queen's Coronation 1953, on from July 27 to September 29 2013, will display all the outfits the Royal Family wore during the big day. Starting from the spectacular Elizabeth II's dress designed by Norman Hartnell (21 feet long) to Prince Charles and Princess Anne's oufits who were 4 and 2 years old respectively.

But the exhibition will not only display the Royal “wardrobe”. It will be a recreation of the Coronation. Visitors will be able to admire the objects used during the ceremony.
