The kooky American singer recently underwent hip surgery, leaving her reliant on four wheels. But she wasn't about to let her operation get in the way of style and so commissioned luxury brand Mordekai to craft the extravagant aid.
Ken Borochov, creative genius behind the company, designed the chair and although he has worked with Gaga before, said he was shocked to receive such an unusual request.
In an official statement, he said: "I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the 'Chariot', a chair fit only for a queen."
The luxurious wheelchair is completely gold plated, including the rims, and also features a black leather seat, inspired by vintage motorcycle jackets, and a removable leather canopy. The chair can also recline should the 26-year-old pop superstar want to relax.
Pictures of Lady Gaga with her new accessory dressed in a long nude coat and monochrome brogues were posted on photographer Terry Richardson's blog.
